Originally the brand of an inexpensive body lotion with a catchy looking bottle, Kroppslotion is the alter ego of an uncharacteristic Sardinian young man who one muggy afternoon some time ago, decided to ignore his mother’s better advice (“Never judge a cream by its bottle”) and buy the aforementioned lotion for a few pennies, attracted as he was by the modern shape of its blue plastic bottle.
It turned out that his mother was right: the lotion caused a series of annoying red rashes all over Kroppslotion’s body , turning him into a living version of Pimpa (a fictional spotted puppy dog).
“It’s an allergy” said his dermatologist, and added promptly: “It’s €70”.
“It is by far the most expensive cream I***a ever created,” thought poor Kroppslotion.
This is the story of how this curious Swedish word became his alter ego.
Giovanni alias Kroppslotion grew up on a beautiful island of the Mediterranean sea, although his skin tone and the color of his hair are those of a foreigner.
his passion has always been photography, ever since he first held a Polaroid in his hands, at the age of thirteen.
It is through photography that he is able to mediate and translate into images whatever comes to his mind - images that by all means can not be considered “ordinary”, although extremely logical.
Kroppslotion doesn’t like senseless pictures and doesn’t even believe in their existence. In his opinion, each picture should say something about the person behind the lens as it is the result of codes and decisions that are at the core of everyone’s culture, whether they like it or not.
